The Toshiba 40ZF355D LCD TV has an ultra-slim 2.3cm screen surround which makes it pretty compact for a 40in TV - in fact it will fit in a similar space to most 37in models.

It is a Full HD 100Hz tv, although it is lacking a USB port, but most users wont find this a problem. The 100Hz processing leads to smooth processing of fast moving images and it displays Blu-ray sources without judder.

Sounds are not forgotten with inbuilt speakers provided by specialist hi-fi manufacturer Onkyo giving great reproduction.

Picture performance is up to standard for the class with clear, sharp images and high contrast. There is a slight difference between standard and high definition sources, and clearly high-def sources give the best results.
